I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled all applicable apps without success. I see that Displa圜al has had some experience with similar unhandled exception errors centering around its loading order with madVR, which I’ve set to not load until it is invoked with Potplayer. Nvidia’s forum and have offered no solutions. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to locate that “additional exception information.” Additional exception information has been stored locally and this application will be terminated. Unhandled Exception occurred ] at nvcuda.dll. On closing Daum Potplayer or changing video files, the attached alert appears: I’m sending this to NVidia, Daum Potplayer, madVR and Displa圜al who are apparently historic stakeholders in an issue I’m having whenever Potplayer references Nvidia CUDAs in its settings. I can go as high as 418nits as my hdr tv supports this.#12143 (Bug) Unhandled Nvidia.dll Exception Closing Potplayer while using madVR Rule of thumb start at 120nits and work your way up. This is how I did it! The results match my Samsung HDR player now……. Managed to get HDR levels on my HDR TV which is rated at 418nits in HDR mode. In mpcbe set 2324p in the fullscreen options to trigger the tv to 24hz for uhd movies…… I know this is as backwards buy you get the nice colors and light levels but are duller in hdr mode! It is actually better to set TV to bt2020 and madvr to pixel shader math and your max nit level for you panel then for hdr to turn on on your TV. Havin control over local dimming makes pixel shader math a must. I set mine eventually to 390nits as this is the max hdr light level for my TV. For hdr users go online and fins out your hdr candle nit adv. Add entries for 24p (fps) example 2324.99 to get 0 dropped frames for movies! You can use Madvr(buggy) or Mpcbe(works perfect) to do the frame rate switching. Update: Make sure the resolution in MPCBE is set to 29.o76 not 59hz or you will get a ton of dropped frames in madvr.
